ReUse Center Update
| ReUse Center Open House and Ribbon Cutting
Wednesday, November 12, 2008 12 noon-6 pm
Finger Lakes ReUse invites the public to the November 12th Ribbon Cutting and Open House for the greatly anticipated new ReUse Center. The new ReUse Center is located at Triphammer Mall, near JoAnn Fabrics, The Rose Restaurant and Ithaca Bakery. A Ribbon Cutting by the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce will take place at 12 p.m. (noon) and an Open House with refreshments will follow until 6 p.m. The public is welcome to stop by, shop, and buy materials sold at 50%-90% off market equivalents.
| Donations Now Being Accepted
We are now accepting donations of quality, used materials! Materials must be clean, complete, and in good working condition. (See attached Donation Acceptance Guidelines). Tons of building materials, computers, electronics, housewares, furniture, and other goods are thrown away every day even though their usable life is far from over. Finger Lakes ReUse saves materials from going to the landfill and provides quality goods at affordable prices.
| What's New In Stock?
A sampling of items currently at the ReUse Center includes dining sets, chairs, bookshelves, French doors, cast iron brackets, ornate radiators, lighting, dimensional lumber, and more. The ReUse Center not only offers a convenient retail outlet, but also will serve as a community-gathering place and education center where people can exchange ideas and learn skills in transforming materials for new uses.
