Outreach and Development Associate

Finger Lakes ReUse, Inc. is seeking an outstanding individual to help Finger Lakes ReUse connect its ideas and practices to the efforts of other organizations, groups, specific audiences and the general public. The mission of Finger Lakes ReUse is to enhance community, environment and economy through reuse. The successful candidates will be enthusiastic; possess strong written, oral communication, and organizational skills; and be familiar with database management. Knowledge of or interest in reuse, environment and social enterprise is helpful; exposure to and interest in working in the nonprofit sector considered a plus. Resourcefulness and flexibility will be key components of this position. Good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are essential. Tasks will include researching and identifying funding opportunities, tracking programmatic partners and donors, supporting program volunteers and committees, coordinating marketing efforts, and assisting in preparing funding proposals to individuals, corporations, government, and private foundations. Commitment to sustainable practices and green building principles is essential.

Compensation

This is a temporary, part-time position with an opportunity to grow into a permanent position with expanded hours; 20 hours a week for 24 weeks. Start date to be determined. Starting salary based upon experience. Benefits.
