Clean Lumber (6' or longer)
Doors (good condition, complete storm sets)
Windows (no single pane, complete and intact storm/triple track sets)
Plywood, Chipboard, OSB, Sheetrock (half sheet or more)
Siding (large lots only)
Flooring (wood, tile and vinyl)
Roofing (no loose roofing, wrapped only)
Kitchen and Bath Cabinets (good clean condition, complete)
Kitchen and Bath Sinks (no rust or chips)
Tubs (no chips, cracks)
Toilets (white or off-white only, bowl/tank attached)
Tile (Glass, Mirror, Brick, Block, Paving)
Lighting and Ceiling Fans (complete, no PCB ballasts)
Carpets (New or like-new quality)
Hardware and Tools
Fencing (chain link, treated wood, no rot)
Plumbing Materials
Household Items
All household items, including electrical items, must be complete,
clean and in good usable condition.
Furniture
Couches, desks, tables, recliners, stuffed chairs, chair sets,
dressers, file cabinets, bed frames, bookcases, and more.
(Good structural condition, no stains or tears.)
Appliances
Washers, dryers (up to 5 yrs old), dishwashers (like new only),
portable dishwashers, water heaters (up to 5 yrs old), small
kitchen appliances, ranges (up to 10 yrs old), and more.
Electronics
Computers*, laptops*, printers*, cell phones*, monitors**, video games and consoles, color cable-ready TVs (in working conidition),
stereo equipment, VCRs, CD players, cameras, telephones, projectors, and more.
*Computer equipment does not need to be functioning.
**There will be a $5 handling fee charged for CRT Monitors, and monitors must not be cracked or physically damaged.
Other Items
We also accept: Hardware, tools, office supplies, gardening supplies,
sport/exercise equipment, art work, quality kitchenware, art and school
supplies, healthcare equipment, pet supplies, antiques, collectibles and more!

Unacceptable Items
Finger Lakes ReUse does not accept recalled items*.
*The Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits the selling of recalled products, and Finger Lakes ReUse makes every effort to fully comply with these regulations.

Below is a list of itmes we normally accept however, currently we are not accepting because
space limitations, current inventory levels or for other reasons. Please continue to check
this list or call the ReUse Center with questions.

- Hollow Core Doors
Condition of Item:
Anything broken, damaged, mildewed or
excessively soiled is not accepted
These Building Materials:
Paints, Adhesives, chemicals of any kind.
Shower doors, lumber less than 6’ long, nail-fitted/twisted/rotted wood,
sheet goods less than half original size, non-tempered glass storm doors
These Household Items:
Clothing, toys, cribs, strollers, car seats, fluorescent bulbs,
ceiling tile, books, audio/video tapes, records, CDs
These Appliances:
Freezers, refrigerators, drum style humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air conditioners
These Furniture Items:
Metal desks, office cubicles, mattresses, box springs
These Electronics:
Non-working or black and white TVs,
non-cable ready TVs, floor-model printers and copiers.
These Automotive Items:
All tires, batteries, engine parts, oil and fluids
All items listed above may be donated to other nonprofit programs,
or recycled or disposed of at the
Tompkins County Solid Waste & Recycling Center,
at 122 Commercial Ave, Ithaca. For more information,

The ReUse Center does not accept household hazardous materials,
such as flammable liquids, toxic waste, chemicals, paint, used
thermostats, used smoke detectors, or thermometers. Household hazardous
materials may be disposed of at
