Our deconstruction crew and volunteers dismantle a 2,600 square foot house constructed in 1980 on Cayuga Lake. More than 75% of the materials were reclaimed for reuse in our communities, including vinyl siding, insulation, and loads of great lumber! Other photos follow from our ReUse Center and other activities. Enjoy!

ReSET Job Training Program
Finger Lakes ReUse is offering a new job training program called ReSET (Skills and Employment Training). ReSET provides training in marketable job-skills to individuals seeking new career opportunities. There are two tracks: ReSET Tech--skills in computer technology, and ReSET Construction--training in construction and green building techniques. The trainings involve a hands-on learning environment through exposure and participation in day-to-day business activities in Finger Lakes ReUse eCenter computer reuse program and Deconstruction Services program. For more information or to apply, visit our job training page.
Developed in partnership with the Ithaca Youth Bureau Computer All Stars program and funded in part through support from the Ithaca Urban Renewal Agency and The United Way Youth and Philanthropy Fund, and proceeds from sales through the ReUse Center.

Deconstruction Services as a green alternative to demolition, and our computer reuse program, the eCenter accepts computers and refurbishes them for reuse in our community.
